As there are no rules or requirements for the type of favor to have at your wedding the possibilities are endless!

The following are just a few ideas for unique wedding favors that you could have at your wedding!

Include Personalization

Other than the typical personalizations such as the names of the newlyweds, initials, or the wedding date, in order to make the personalization even more unique considering adding one of the following:

  • Covid-19 Related: For couples whose weddings were unfortunately postponed due to the pandemic, a favor that celebrates your wedding day finally happening is one way to look back on that time with your guests and celebrate all that you’ve been through to get to where you are today!

  • An Inside Joke: If there’s a running joke or fun fact about your relationship that you and all of your guests know, adding it in your favors can give you all a little something to chuckle at! For instance, couples who have been together for a very long time and have everyone saying “it’s about time” can include a message  like “it’s FINALLY happening!”

  • Wedding Hashtags: Including your wedding hashtag in your favors not only is a way to share it with all of your guests, but it also lets them know where they can look to see photos and videos of your wedding!

Reflect the Location

Whether you’re born and raised in Hawaii or you’ll be in the islands for the very first time having a favor that reflects the Aloha state is a sweet way to represent where you tied the knot!

Consider favors that are made locally in Hawaii or have the islands represented on them in an unique way!

Connect to Culture

As your favor is something given to each and every one of your guests, connecting the small gift to your culture is a unique way to share your culture with all of your guests!

For instance at many local Japanese weddings we see a display of one thousand and one cranes to symbolize good fortune and longevity for the couple.

One way that these sentiments can also be shared with your guests is by having a crane related favor! It represents those same cultural values and is something that your guests can take home with them too!

Two in One

Have your favor do more than one “job” on your wedding day! Not only will they be a gift for each of your guests, but they can also serve another purpose such as a name card or escort card!

One popular example of this is an acrylic favor that has the guest’s name on it. As their escort card it has their name and table number and as their favor is something they can take home and have as a keepsake of your wedding!
