10 Photos to Take on Your Wedding Day

As it can be overwhelming to think of ALL the photos you may want to take on your wedding day we put together a little list of ideas to help! The following photo ideas are organized by the various moments of your day and will hopefully help you capture all of these special moments on your special day! 

Getting Ready 

Pictures taken during this portion of the day will capture all the excitement of the couple’s pre-wedding jitters and some behind the scene moments of preparing for the day! A few pictures that can be taken during this time include: 

Detail Shots

Make sure to bring items such as your wedding stationery (save the dates, invitations, etc) as well as any other wedding related items you would like photographed! 

Hair & Make-up touch ups 

These glamor behind the scenes shots with your hair & make-up artist, show the process it takes to become a bride! 

Wedding party 

Posed and candid photos of your wedding party helping you get ready is a sweet shot that represents all that they do for you! 

Pre-Ceremony 

If you’re planning to see each other prior to the ceremony then you may be doing a first look! Along with this photo opp you can consider adding the following to your list of desired photos!

Wedding Party Photos

Post-Ceremony 

After officially tying the knot in front of your family & friends there are a few photos that you can take prior to your reception! 

Group Photo 

A perfect time to capture a photo of all of your guests is right after the ceremony, your coordinator and photographer can gather everyone together for one amazing shot!

Beach/Sunset Photos

Depending on the time of the sunset on your wedding day this may be something that you can capture prior to your reception! If not, beach photos still make for the most dreamy Hawaii wedding shots! 

Reception 

During your reception, the majority of your photos will most likely be candid photos that capture all of the festivities happening in the ballroom. However one planned photo idea that you can do to capture pictures with each of your guests, are table shots! 

Table shots 

Guests can take a photo with the bride and groom at the dance floor during the dinner portion of the reception.
