A gorgeous wedding at the Kahala Resort on the east side of the island of O’ahu.

Last August, on a gorgeous Hawaii summer day, Julie & Evan tied the knot with a stunning floral filled ceremony on the Plumeria Grove at the Kahala Resort. Their special day included an intimate first look, the exchange of touching personal vows, a lovely sand ceremony, “icy” cocktail treats, and a full-on dance party at their reception!

A few moments of the wedding we’d like to highlight:

Sand Ceremony: Also referred to as a Unity Sand Ceremony, this tradition symbolizes the union of two people and the foundation of a new family unit. This ceremony can be done by the Bride & Groom, and can also include children to further establish the creation of a new family.
Special Cocktail Treat: Cocktail hour is not necessarily all about the drinks! You can have unique food items as well! One way to add some fun to your cocktail hour is by surprising your guests with a sweet treat! Julie & Evan had a Shave Ice station for their guests to enjoy prior to the reception. It was a great way for them to COOL off from the Hawaii humidity.
Reception Games: Before all the dancing, Julie & Evan played a lively game of the Shoelywed game that definitely entertained all of their guests! Games are a great way to include your guests into your wedding celebration and to have a good laugh with all of your family and friends!

As we wouldn’t be able to coordinate such a wonderful wedding without vendors who are just as wonderful, we truly want to thank all of the individuals and companies that worked together to give Julie & Evan the beautiful day they deserved!
