COVID-19 Oahu Updates!
These unprecedented times have also created an unprecedented amount of stress for all couples. We want to do OUR best to help our couples (local AND destination) through this as easily as possible so we’ve created this page to help them keep up to date. Please feel free to check back whenever you desire as we will continue to update this with updates and industry announcements as we are able to. ***PLEASE note: we are sharing what we learn but can not be held liable or responsible for any information listed so please interpret, fact check, and research/confirm it as you desire. Announcements/decisions are frequently rescinded/reversed by our government so remember that things are always changing and we are just trying to provide updates as we hear them. Although our heart aches for our couples knowing what they are going through, we have no doubt that they will come out of this stronger than ever while knowing how much they mean to each other! Hang in there, ask for help, and know that WE are ALWAYS here!

Traveling update
Feds give green light to test tourists prior to arrival in Hawaii (click to read the article) via KITV
We received great news that we have been APPROVED to ask all incoming travelers to take a COVID-19 test BEFORE boarding any flight to Hawaii. For those who take the test and are proved to be COVID Free, they won't need to worry about a 14 day quarantine!!!! For any travelers who refuse to take the test before boarding, they will be tested upon their arrival and will be REQUIRED to quarantine for 14 days.
***NOTE: Although we HAVE been approved to do this, our government still needs to take steps to make this all possible. We just don't know how long it will take them to put this into place.

Email from the Hale Koa Hotel:
“We just received guidance from the Department of the Army that we need to cancel events up to July 2020 as there has been no guidance given from any government entity on how we need to proceed with large gatherings such as banquet events.
Department of the Army is asking us to hold off on rescheduling as we really don’t want to reschedule guests only to have to cancel them. As a courtesy, we can put an inquiry hold for a future date for weddings and events that had to cancel due to the COVID-19 mandates. This Inquiry hold is not a confirmed booking but a courtesy hold until we can once again start taking reservations. We are putting everyone on a waitlist and when we are allowed to resume bookings, will call each guest back in the order that they called us.
At that time, we can call the guest and ask if they are still interested in the date that they initially inquired about. If not, we will just cancel the inquiry and go from there.
